Return Release date:2023-12-01

Stone mosaic decorative materials have gradually become popular in recent years, and more and more young people prefer decorative materials made of mosaic materials. Mosaic decorative materials are not only practical but also have strong decorative effects. Moreover, the laying of stone mosaics is also very particular.

Next, let me give you a detailed introduction to the laying techniques of stone mosaic. If you master this, you may also become a first-class decoration master!

Step 1: First, check the texture, specifications, and model of the mosaic material. Good quality mosaic materials are not only beneficial for tiling, but also have a relatively long service life.

Step 2: The most basic treatment of the wall is to flatten it, making it smooth and even. Uneven walls are not conducive to the smooth laying of the mosaic.

Step 3: Measure the size of the mosaic material and mark it on the wall. Based on the size of each mosaic, draw a line on the wall. Generally, three pieces of mosaic materials are laid together, so it is necessary to plan the specific laying positions of the three mosaics in advance.

Step 4: Prepare mosaic tile adhesive in advance. Apply a large area of mosaic tile adhesive within the planned area, but remember not to exceed the marked range. Use a smooth gray shovel to evenly apply the adhesive, and then use a flat thick wooden board to pad the mosaic tiles. Gently tap with a rubber hammer to make the mosaic tiles adhere more tightly to the wall.

Step 5: Pointing at the ceramic tile interface. In order to ensure the perfect laying of mosaic tiles, it is necessary to perform pointing treatment on the joints of the tiles. Prepare the sealant and use a gray shovel to evenly pour it into the gaps at the interface of the mosaic tiles, ensuring that each gap is filled and evenly applied.

Step 6: After all the above processes are completed, the laying of the mosaic tiles is considered to be roughly completed, and only the residual materials on the mosaic wall need to be cleaned after the sealant is completely dry. When cleaning, be careful to prepare two buckets, one containing cleaning agent and the other containing clean water. First, wipe the wall with a cloth dipped in the cleaning agent, and then clean it with clean water. Only with this cleaning method can mosaic walls truly be cleaned.
